Flavourful Karaage-style Japanese fried chicken on a bed of purple rice with different sauces. It was so good I went two days in a row (and looking forward to my next visit).
I find most rice bowls have a higher rice-to-protein ratio, but with Gushi, I found their ratio to be the opposite! Not a bad thing to have more chicken, but next time I’ll have to order an additional side of rice ;)

I come here every time I'm in the Cabbagetown area and I NEVER leave disappointed. Gushi's menu has something for everyone, with a great selection of carbs to pair with their super juicy chicken. The daango snacks are fun as well; I always order at least one :')
I also love that Gushi works with Cabbagetown BIA and Suppli to offer the option for reusable takeout containers. A great example of a beloved local business that cares about the dining experience of their customers.
